1 Unto the angel of the church of

4 Ἀλλὰ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ, ὅτι τὴν ἀγάπην σου τὴν πρώτην ἀφῆκας

.5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly

7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches

; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst ofℵA omit
the paradise of God.7 Ὁ ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. Τῷ νικῶντι δώσω αὐτῷ φαγεῖν ἐκ τοῦ ξύλου τῆς ζωῆς, ὅ ἐστιν ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ τοῦ θεοῦ μου.

ὁ διάβολος ἐξ ὑμῶν εἰς φυλακήν, ἵνα πειρασθῆτε· καὶ ἕξετεWH ἔχητε
θλίψιν ἡμερῶν δέκα. Γίνου πιστὸς ἄχρι θανάτου, καὶ δώσω σοι τὸν στέφανον τῆς ζωῆς.11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
11 Ὁ ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. Ὁ νικῶν οὐ μὴ ἀδικηθῇ ἐκ τοῦ θανάτου τοῦ δευτέρου.
12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
12 ¶ Καὶ τῷ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν Περγάμῳ ἐκκλησίας γράψον, ¶ Τάδε λέγει ὁ ἔχων τὴν ῥομφαίαν τὴν δίστομον τὴν ὀξεῖαν·
13 I know thy works, and

where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, evenℵ omit; A ⟨and⟩
in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyrA ⟨those days was Antipas my witness, my faithful one⟩

Βαλὰκ βαλεῖν σκάνδαλον ἐνώπιον τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ, καὶWH omit
φαγεῖν εἰδωλόθυτα καὶ πορνεῦσαι.15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate

17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat

18 And unto the angel of the church

ὡς φλόγα πυρός, καὶ οἱ πόδες αὐτοῦ ὅμοιοι χαλκολιβάνῳ·19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because

thou sufferest that womanA ⟨thy wife⟩
Jezebel, which calleth herselfℵ ⟨saith she is⟩
a prophetess, to teach and to seduceℵ ⟨and teacheth and seduceth⟩
my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.20 Ἀλλ’

ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ ὅτι ἀφεῖς τὴν γυναῖκά σουWH omit
Ἰεζάβελ, ἣ λέγειWH λέγουσα
ἑαυτὴν προφῆτιν, καὶ διδάσκει καὶ πλανᾷ τοὺς ἐμοὺς δούλους πορνεῦσαι καὶ φαγεῖν εἰδωλόθυτα.21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not

22 Behold, I will

, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of theirℵ ⟨her⟩
deeds.22 Ἰδού, βάλλω αὐτὴν εἰς κλίνην, καὶ τοὺς μοιχεύοντας μετ’ αὐτῆς εἰς θλίψιν μεγάλην, ἐὰν μὴ μετανοήσωσιν

put upon you none other burden.24 Ὑμῖν δὲ λέγω, τοῖς λοιποῖς τοῖς ἐν Θυατείροις, ὅσοι οὐκ ἔχουσιν τὴν διδαχὴν ταύτην, οἵτινες οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τὰ βαθέα τοῦ Σατανᾶ, ὡς λέγουσιν, οὐ βάλλω ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἄλλο βάρος.
25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
25 Πλὴν ὃ ἔχετε κρατήσατε, ἄχρι οὗ ἂν ἥξω.
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over

the nations:26 Καὶ ὁ νικῶν καὶ ὁ τηρῶν ἄχρι τέλους τὰ ἔργα μου, δώσω αὐτῷ ἐξουσίαν ἐπὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν·
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
27 καὶ ποιμανεῖ αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥάβδῳ σιδηρᾷ· ὡς τὰ σκεύη τὰ κεραμικά, συντριβήσεται·
WH συντρίβεται,
ὡς κἀγὼ εἴληφα παρὰ τοῦ πατρός μου·28 And I will give him the morning star.
28 καὶ δώσω αὐτῷ τὸν ἀστέρα τὸν πρωϊνόν.
